About MeMy name is Mrs. Janette Armour and I am honored to be your child’s third grade teacher. This is my sixth year teaching and first year here at Riverwood Elementary. I am so excited to be here, and proud to know that your child will achieve academic success under my direction.
This year your child will be introduced to all new skills that will require them to think critically. I will be working closely with your child to ensure he or she reaches their full potential as a third grader. We will have many wonderful experiences and opportunities to learn and grow in the days ahead. I believe that communication is the key to a great parent-teacher relationship. I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any time. You can send me a note, email me at [email protected] or call me at (901) 416-2310. I will also do my part by sending out a newsletter each week in the homework folder to update you on what we will be doing in class as well as announcements/events that are up coming. On this website you will find my classroom norms that I have created to ensure your child’s learning environment will be a powerful learning experience without distractions. The classroom norms are behavior expectations, rewards, and consequences. I am looking forward to a wonderful and exciting year with you and your child! Educational BackgroundUniversity of Memphis
